Crystals can absorb, protect and shield us from negative energy that would have been harmful to us. ie: When worn in our bra, rose quartz can turn white from absorbing bad energy that normally would have affected our heart and our health. Since rose quartz does represent love relationships, our emotions and our heart, the breaking of it can be a strong message. Onyx works on the psyche, deflecting negative energy, providing stamina, inner harmony, a sense of responsibility and self confidence to the user. Any of those issues hit home with you?

Many people believe that when a crystal breaks, it should be buried back into the earth. I sorta subscribe to that theory, although it’s often difficult for those of us who get attached to special crystals to bury them. If you adore a crystal so much and wouldn’t consider saying goodbye to it, then use a strong clear glue. Tell the crystal that you enjoy / love it and ask it to continue to provide protection to you.

Aqua Aura (clear quartz bonded with vaporized gold) is very fragile and can break easily. I have had pieces break and somehow I feel it is OK to keep both pieces. But, that’s me. Three different favorite pieces of my stones have broken lately: rose quartz, onyx and aqua aura.

I have all the broken pieces and they are clean cuts that fit back together easily. However, I’m not sure how to glue stones. Can you explain or suggest a way to repair these pieces? Or once they are broken they are not supposed to be fixed?

Just discovered your site. Thank you for this very informative and well written blog. I have a few Tiger Iron crystals that bring me a great deal of pleasure. I wear my Tiger Iron Heart daily and it has helped me ward off colds. When I used to get colds it always turned into something more serious, usually bronchitis or upper respiratory infections. When I wear my Tiger Iron it keeps it at bay and doesn’t get any worse. Stones are quite amazing and have such incredible healing powers.

It is a stone able to block airbourne viruses and bacterial infections. Case in point, I had a pendant I wore around my neck of Tiger Iron when I went up on vacation to see my Sister, Bro-in-Law, and 2 nieces. My sister and her daughters had a wicked cold. But wearing the Tiger Iron pendant non-stop(even in my sleep), for the whole 5 days I was up there, I never caught the virus! Tiger Iron is probably the best Crystal for bodybuilders, helping to promote muscle tone, better blood flow, improved oxidation in the blood and more red blood cell production in the bone marrow. It helps with most blood weaknesses. It supports the skeletal system.

This stone beams energy. Tiger Iron strengthens your energy field by attuning it to the electromagnetic field of the Earth.

It is a superb grounding stone. It helps one to connect to the heart of the Earth and the core of our planet. It helps to develop and strengthen one’s grounding center, so the body can put its excess energy back into the planet to be recycled.

Lastly, it is a powerful protective stone.

I have probably 30-40 pieces of Tiger Iron in my collection. These include Hawk’s Eye or mostly Blue Tiger’s Eye. Blue Tiger’s Eye is caused by Crocidolite crystals. This gives all Tiger’s Eye its Chatoyance, or shine and wavy flash. However, only red and yellow ones are called Tiger’s Eye. Blue, Green, and Grey Tiger’s Eye are called Hawk’s Eye. My Hawk’s Eye pieces all have Hematite in them, as evidenced by the fact that they are magnetic. So, my Hawk’s Eye with Hematite might be another version of Tiger Iron. Hawk’s Eye has its own metaphysical properties, and maybe too strong for beginners to handle, and combined with Hematite…the stones may be too strong for many to hold.
