Elements

The term “element” has different meanings depending on the area of application.

For example, in chemistry, an element is a substance that consists of atoms that cannot be further broken down.

In geology and other sciences, elements can refer to the chemical elements in the periodic chart where they are arranged by order of their atomic number.

Elements can play an important part of a civilization’s culture, philosophy or tradition.  This would include Feng Shui which has their own set of 5 elements which are metal, water, wood, fire and earth.  The elements in feng shui are used to harmonize and balance our environment and living space for achieving a desired outcome such as good health, wealth, love and fortune.

The elements discussed on this page are the FIVE most commonly applied element forces or energies of nature.that exist on Earth.  They are: Earth, Air (Wind), Water, Fire and Storm. These FIVE forces are interactions that take place within the Earth’s constantly changing energy field.  Energy is the life force that surrounds us. With crystals and gemstones growing deep inside the earth for millions to billions of years, they absorb all of these elemental forces and develop their own vibration.

Our Universe is made up of all kinds of entities: humans, animals, plants, herbs, insects, inanimate objects and of course, minerals, crystals and gemstones.  All of these things are combinations of the FIVE elements. Elements play an integral part of our personality.  Our astrological birth chart shows us which elements are more dominant in our personality.  Every astrological sign is either Earth, Air, Water or Fire.

Every element has its own energies and type of healing.  The energy provided by the FIVE elements are involved in EVERYTHING we do:  working, cooking, driving, etc.

EARTH ELEMENT – represents Mother Earth, substance, humans, animals, practicality, restraint, materialism

The Earth element regulates the healing of our bodies.  It’s no surprise that  minerals, crystals and stones are primarily associated with the Earth energy…..and we know crystals heal us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  Our Earth relies on minerals, crystals and stones to circulate and balance its energies.
