Cavansite is named after the 3 main minerals that are in it: calcium, vanadium and silicate. This rare deep bright blue to greenish blue mineral was originally discovered in Oregon, U.S. Today, the majority of Cavansite is found in India with the most gorgeous specimens coming from Poona, India.
