Epidote

Epidote comes from the Greek word “epidosis” which means “growing together” or “addition.” The “growing together” applies to epidote because it consists of many elements that grew together: iron, calcium, aluminum, silicon, oxygen and hydrogen.
The “addition” part pertains to epidote because this stone increases (brings us more) of what we already have in conjunction with our highest good. It also increases whatever behaviors we have… good and bad. People who are loving and generous will become more so. Those who are unhappy and/or negative will also become more so until they can’t stand it and will be forced to make a change.
The energy of epidote is positive and enlightening. Epidote encourages us to experience all aspects of our life. It amplifies our natural attraction for things and situations. Epidote allows us to see the positive in all situations and provides hope for the future.
This lovely stone discourages critical-ness and encourages participation, interaction, keen perception and personal power. Epidote gives us a desire to pursue our dreams and teaches us to give a little of what we want to receive.
Epidote can be consciously directed to bring about whatever results or desires we want.
Physically, epidote is a powerful healing stone. This “intention stone” is beneficial to our immune system and is a great stone for keeping around when we are recuperating from a serious illness. It dissolves blockages, tumors, cysts and fibrosis.
Emotionally, epidote can increase our self confidence, optimism and patience. It combats chronic negativity, hopelessness, fatalism and other destructive and emotional patterns.
