Lapis Lazuli is considered to be sacred to the Gods. Its name origin comes from many languages. In Arabic, azul is “blue sky,” in Spanish, azul is “blue” and in Latin, Lapis means “blue stone.” Lapis Lazuli is believed to have been around before time began.
Ancient Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Chinese used Lapis for making medicine, eye shadow, jewelry, art and walls.
Lapis helps us eliminate internalized emotional baggage that often makes us ill. Like many other blue stones, lapis is associated with the throat chakra and our communication. Lapis Lazuli gives Sagittarians the power of friendship and helps them make decisions.
Interesting Tidbits: Many Sagittarians are drawn to this December birthstone. Could it be because Lapis Lazuli represents communication and discretion and gently suggests to Saggitarians when to keep that “boca cerrado” ? ; > ) In Spanish, “boca cerrado” means mouth closed.
