Opal is the birthstone of October and one of the main stones for Libras. The name opal comes from at least two languages which both mean “precious stone.” Today opals are popular stones that are considered to be lucky. However, back in the 1800′s opals were thought to bring bad luck.
Opals are great for bringing inner harmony. Frequently used in meditations, opals are considered powerful stones for the soul. Opals are also physically beneficial for our heart, stomach and digestion. They stimulate our glands and can regulate the acids and enzymes in our metabloism.
The energy from opals resonates with our crown chakra.
