Prehnite

Prehnite is a semi transparent to transparent pale green stone made up of silicon, oxygen, calcium and aluminum. The first stone to be named after a person, prehnite was discovered in the late 1700s by Colonel Hendrick von Prehn, a Dutch military commander and mineralogist.
This gentle light green “dreamers” stone is associated with the yearnings of the heart and not the ego. Prehnite provides inner peace, serenity and self transformation. Prehnite helps us remain in the moment, quieting our overactive and often fear based imagination. Considered a healer’s stone, prehnite teaches healers the balance between giving and receiving and the need for them to keep replenishing their energy.
This stone’s motto is “Always be prepared.” It sounds like prehnite should be the stone for Girl Scouts. This mediative stone has been known to be quite accurate and spot on in its predictions.
Interesting tidbits: Prehnite is often found in caves. If prehnite is heated, it can emit water.
