Soapstone, the mineral for Sagittarius, is also known as Steatite. Soapstone is a mineral composed primarily of Talc, along with lesser amounts of Chlorite and Amphiboles (a silicate mineral).
Due to its great resistance to heat, Soapstone has many applications. This stone has been used by numerous professionals including welders, sculptors, artists, fabricators, builders and even seamstresses.
These 2 piece shaped jars aren’t something you see every day. They are made from Soapstone with the designs on the lids made of dyed inlaid Mother of Pearl. Great for storing tumbles or small pieces of jewelry.
