Unakite is a jasper composed primarily up pink feldspar, green epidote and quartz. Its mottled appearance may not be the prettiest face out there (some would disagree), however anyone who needs some serious healing of old emotional wounds can’t pick a better stone.
Unakite is a considered a stone of “vision.” It also provides grounding if needed, especially after meditations, astral journeying or any kind of intuitive work.
Placed on the 3rd eye, it provides us with powerful visions from the celestial realm.
Unakite balances our emotions, aligns them with the spiritual forces and gently brings our unconscious actions to our consciousness.
It is also great for re-birthing, a process that helps us deal with the events of our past which have caused blockages in our chakras and meridians. Re-birthing helps us get rid of whatever has been inhibiting our growth.
Unakite looks beyond our physical symptoms and digs deep to find the underlying reasons that are causing our dis-ease(s). This extensive search includes the 4 main aspects of our being: physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.
Its ability to go beneath the surface of our existence makes it a useful stone for scrying as it shows us where compromise and blending are needed.
Unakite is beneficial to the reproductive system and healthy pregnancies. It also promotes skin tissue and hair growth. Now, here’s a real important strong point and something to keep in mind. Unakite is a stone to have around when we are gaining our health and strength and recuperating from any major illness.
This is an ideal stone for your home. Put a nice sized piece or several tumbles of unakite in a dish and place on a table. It does more than spruce up your home with its unique color scheme. Unakite gives off a gentle calm energy which can also protect us from the harmful effects of electromagnet pollution of TVs and computers. In those cases, it is best if placed on top of or near the TV or computer.
There are some books that say that unakite is beneficial for weight loss. I will say right here and now, that the short time I carried unakite on me, I began to GAIN weight. In Melody’s book, “Love is In the Earth”, she states that unakite can “enhance weight gain such that the weight is added in the areas chosen.” Melody recommends manifesting where those pounds should be added.
Aside from my brief “weight gain” ordeal, I have to admit that this different looking stone does have some pretty heavy duty and profound emotionally healing of “wounds” properties.
